Projector and screen installation
Impreza
were commissioned by Medway Council to install a ceiling mounted projector
and screen.
Due to the room layout, it was important to use a projector with a very short throw. The Benq MP771 fitted the bill perfectly, able to project a 74" image from just 1m away.
SBS 2003 Installation
An elite security company based in Meopham has commissioned Impreza to install a Small Business Server 2003 network.
Global Technical Ltd work with overseas government agencies, thus spend a large amount of time travelling around the world. Communication between field and office staff is essential, so we felt implementing a small business server would offer the perfect solution.
Field staff were issued with Mobile devices that could utilise the "push" email technology built into Microsoft Exchange, therefore ensuring they were kept uptodate with the latest information.
Remote access was configured so all field staff could access their emails and documents from any internet enabled PC in the world.
"Small Business Server has proved to be an invaluable
product for seamless communications between the office and working abroad.
Thanks Impreza for a painless install and great after sales service".

Training suite installation
An e-learning company has commissioned Impreza to install and support a training suite in London Docklands.
The chosen solution is to use thin client technology, providing a secure and rapidly deployed system. Thin client technology is perfect for this environment, as the server can be located in a secure room away from public areas. Thin clients hold the minimal amount of information that is required to access the server, so important data is protected in the event of theft or loss.
SBS migration to new hardware
An existing client, based in Surrey, was in urgent need of a new server. Their server was old, and prone to frequent hardware problems.
Moving an SBS installation to a new server is a complicated task. Impreza used the "swing technique" to migrate the existing SBS 2003 installation across to the new hardware.
The great thing about using this technique, is that very little downtime is required. A new server can be built alongside an existing network, and users switched over at the appropriate time.
Project Database
Impreza are helping a Medway based business to streamline their working procedures by developing a new web based project system.
As members of staff come and go, so does their knowledge, and the systems they developed. Complicated Excel spreadsheets can be a nightmare for new members of staff to untangle, so invariably it's easier for them to develop new ones - this becomes a time consuming cycle of events.
Based on ASP.net, the proposed system will enforce a set of procedures that users have no choice but to follow. Driven by a web based interface, users add and edit data in a controlled fashion that ultimately links back to a database.
Using a series of customised reports, authorised users can interogate the database for up to the minute information. By using ASP as the development language, remote access can easily be provided to the database, allowing key members of staff to gain access to information from any internet enabled device.
As new members of staff join, the time required for learning new systems is dramatically reduced, allowing them to hit the ground running from day one.
